At Clegg’s Rathmines, while we do not make Orthotic Shoe Inserts, we do repair and re-cover them.
Orthotics are inserts that you place in your shoes to add support to certain parts of your foot.
Over time these Orthotics wear from friction, weight and pressure.
What we do is we rebuild Orthotics that have compressed and worn down over time.
Also the cloth or leather Orthotic covering may unravel. We replace this to avoid discomfort.

– Our range of anti-microbial foams are sourced from the same manufacturers as those used by the leading orthoses and corrective insoles in the UK and Europe. We use these to recover worn or damaged corrective insoles.
– We can offer a mail order serve to anywhere in Ireland and promise a fast turn around. All for a fraction of the price of a new pair.

Please allow three working days for completion. If sending by post please allow extra time.
We recommend that you use registered post if sending us Orthotics.
Pricing does not include Postage costs. At time of writing, Jan 2024, registered post for Orthotics is €9.30.

So How much does Orthotic Repair or Re Covering cost?
Depending on what type of material you wish to use prices go from €45.00 up to €90.00 plus postage if applicable per pair
Insole – We can replace the insole in your shoes if its become worn or misshapen from €15.00
Back Linings from €30 per pair.
The area behind the heel inside a shoe or a trainer can suffer from being stood on or simple friction in wear we can fit a replacement lining to protect your heel in the event of this happening.
Toe Linings from €25 per pair.
In running shoes mostly with woven uppers the toe nail can wear through just by friction alone. If this is something that happens to your shoes , you may consider having a preventative patch fitted to the lining inside the shoe at the toe.
